FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is Dock Street South Dog-Friendly?

In the summer, we are happy to welcome dogs and their humans inside a section of the brewery room while the garage door is open! We sadly aren't able to allow puppers inside the main brewpub (as per the health department - if it was up to us we'd have a dog:human ratio of minimum 1:1) but we do have outdoor seating and are happily hosting pups (and their humans) outside!

Can I BYO my own food?

No, we do not allow outside food. We are a full service restaurant and employ some really talented folks that are masters of our wood-burning pizza oven and commanders of the kitchen. While some breweries that do not have kitchens do allow BYO food, we are also a restaurant. Out of respect for our front of house staff, who would be required to clean up after food that didn’t come from our restaurant, and out of respect for our kitchen, chefs, and space, we do not permit guests to BYOF.

Do you take reservations?

Dock Street South is first come, first served/seated. We have large communal tables, and plenty of room! We accept reservations for groups of 20 people and over.

Groups of 20-35 people may reserve space in the brewery by emailing south@dockstreetbeer.com or by clicking here —> BOOK A PARTY OR LARGE GROUP RESERVATION

Groups of 35+ people are in some cases considered an event, and may be required to pre-ordered food or reserve a private space - this is assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on your requirements and the nature of your event.

We also welcome work happy hours, client appreciation events, office parties, birthday parties and more - if your group is anywhere from 20-150 people, please get in touch to ask about our options!

We Know You’re a Brewery - Does Dock Street South Also Have Cocktails?

Yes! We have an incredible cocktail program centered on PA spirits. We introduce a new cocktail menu several times a year, with from themes ranging from Harry Potter to 90s movies.

Is Dock Street Kid-Friendly?

Dock Street is definitely kid friendly! We have a kids menu, high chairs, coloring books, the whole nine yards; but please be advised that from 8pm onward each night, Dock Street South is 21+ only - only guests who are 21 years old or above may be on the premises. Kids are not allowed to play on our pool table, sorry!!

Can I bring my own cake or desserts?

Yes! We charge a $3/person plating fee for all BYO desserts. Plates + serving utensils will be provided by Dock Street.

What if I bring my own plates for BYO dessert, or cookies/cupcakes that don’t require plates?

While the industry term is "plating fee", the cost is actually not for plates/dishwashing as is often the assumption, it's to cover the lost opportunity of being able to sell our own dessert/food item. We do offer desserts here, so if you'd like to purchase desserts from our menu, we would be happy to accommodate and add that on!
