Dock Street is hosting a special guest from back in the day (1990 to be exact) who is in town for the Craft Brewers Conference. We extend an invitation for you to join us and fellow VIPs, friends and family that we have come to know and love throughout the decades, for a very special brewday.
On WEDNESDAY, May 4, 2016, Dock Street honors its roots by collaborating with Will Kemper, Brewmaster and first Dock Street Brewer at Dock Street’s 18th Street location. Will Kemper founded Washington's Chuckanut Brewery in 2008 and is the recipient of many national and international awards and accolades including a GABF award for “Brewer of the Year.” He is known by all for brewing impeccable and delicious lagers and ales, including those he brewed for Dock Street over two decades ago.
Kemper will join Dock Street owner Rosemarie Certo, Head Brewer Vince DesRoisiers and assistant brewers Mark Russell and Sasha Certo-Ware in brewing a contemporary version of Dock Street Dunkel Lager. This beer was Kemper's and Certo's choice brew at Dock Street 18th & Cherry St. brew pub.
On hand will be a few of the new Dock Street Beer favorites, such as the Rye IPA (Beer Advocate lists it as lucky #13 Best Rye IPA in the World) as well as some specialty beers from our cellars. Brewery doors will open 12 - 3pm so come to say hello, meet, mingle, taste and be a part of this special batch of Dunkel Lager.
