NEXTFAB is celebrating “A Decade Made Better” to commemorate its 10 year anniversary! On Saturday, June 15th, we will host a large-scale outdoor event taking place in and around the site of our South Philadelphia location.

The festival-style anniversary celebration, produced in association with Milk Street Marketing, will occupy the entire 2000 block of Washington Avenue and will feature interactive exhibits, live music, and local food vendors. A craft beer garden will be provided and operated by Dock Street Brewery, who will be opening their new location a mere one block away at 22nd & Washington Avenue later this summer.

In addition, NextFab members and startup companies will be on display while self-guided tours of the facility will be available. Attendees can register for a drawing with prizes including a free trial membership and participate in a pop-up business pitch competition.

The event is free for the public and open to the entire community.

Founded by Dr. Evan Malone in 2009, with three locations in the mid-Atlantic region, NextFab is the premier destination for makers, artisans, and hardware entrepreneurs. NextFab provides the tools, training, consulting, and capital required for innovators to turn ideas into products, and products into businesses.

Memorable moments in NextFab’s history include its move to South Philadelphia on Washington Avenue in 2013, kicking off the Philadelphia Science Festival that same year with the "Science Carnival After Dark" event, opening a second location in Northern Liberties in 2014 and a third in 2017, in Wilmington DE. In 2016, NextFab launched it’s RAPID Hardware Accelerator program, which has helped launch and grow nearly 30 hardware startup companies with funding, mentoring, and product development consulting.
