Zomg, this is big!! Dock Street Man Full of Trouble Porter, our London-style tall dark and handsome boi, just nabbed a SECOND bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival awards - basically, the Oscars of beer awards. This beer won for the first time in 2017, and it just feels so good to win again. (And, on Head Brewer Mark' Russell’s birthday weekend, no less!)
Luckily, we brew this beer, referred to in-house as “MFOT”, for 6 months out of the year (September - February) each year, so there’s plenty of chances to find out what a winner tastes like, on tap at Dock Street West + Dock Street South, as well as in cans to go, from both our locations AND bottle shops, distributors and restaurants around town as well.
DOCK STREET MAN FULL OF TROUBLE PORTER
BRONZE MEDAL, Great American Beer Festival® 2017, 2021
5.2% ABV 30 IBUs – A liquid nod to the only pre-revolutionary tavern still standing in The City of Brotherly Love. “Man Full of Trouble” was one of Colonial Philadelphia’s first watering holes. This London Style Porter was brewed with “Old-World” in mind. Black and chocolate malts create its deep mahogany appearance and creamy espresso-like flavor. A blend of English hops lends a delicate earthy presence.
4-pack $15.00 / Case $76
And we’re in great company - Pennsylvania didn’t bring home a ton of awards this year, but four other PA breweries - Attic Brewing, Cinderlands, Neshaminy Brewing, and Work Horse Brewing - also scored metals!
