We’re growing the sales team, and are looking for a full-time sales rep with some evening and weekend availability, and, most importantly, BEER SALES EXPERIENCE. Seriously cannot say this enough. We will not be able to consider anyone without prior experience in selling craft beer as a sales rep.
BEER SALES REPRESENTATIVE, FULL TIME
Dock Street Brewing Co, founded in 1985, is a leading pioneer of the American Microbrewery Revolution with a reputation for innovation and exceptional quality beers. Our beer is available for wholesale accounts on draught, in 12oz bottles, and 16oz cans, as well as occasional limited-release special edition 750ml bottles.
Job Profile
We're seeking a professional with experience in and a passion for the craft beer and/or craft spirits industry. Beer sales experience is an absolute must.
Candidate is hardworking, energetic, curious and ambitious, and shares company values of honesty and integrity. Must possess strong selling skills and sales strategies to properly represent the Dock Street brands. Candidate needs to enjoy being “on the street” every day and wants to be a part of the excitement and challenge in executing a company strategy for growth. The ideal candidate will also be organized and communicative, as this role is equal parts collaborative and independent, so being self-motivated and a good record keeper while working independently is key.
Responsibilities include:
-Partner with sales team for weekly product availability
-Set weekly and monthly sales goals
-Write weekly summaries and monthly reports; communicate progress as you go. Pass along feedback about the brand to Dock Street sales team and managers
-Create strategic weekly schedule of new and existing accounts to visit
-Building and maintaining solid relationships with a portfolio of regional on- and off-premise accounts.
-Planning, organizing and executing or attending events and activities such as tastings, festivals and beer dinners centered on fostering partnerships and increasing brand awareness.
-Scheduling ride-alongs with distributor reps
Job Requirements
-Minimum 2 years beer sales experience is imperative, preferably in Mid-Atlantic region
Please note: Candidates with no prior beer sales experience will not be considered.
-Knowledge of Philadelphia + suburbs bars, restaurants and distributors
-Friendly and outgoing personality
-Organized, sales-oriented and responsible,
-College degree
-Valid Drivers license
-Ability to lift 150lbs (i.e. a 1/2bbl keg of beer)
-Occasional weekend and evening availability
