Down the Street, A Golden Ale with Tea + Honey

In the spirit of Brotherly Love and a healthy dose of rivalry (given that our cities are acute sports rivals these past few years), Dock Street Brewery of Philadelphia, PA and Down the Road Beer Co. of Boston, MA are collaborating on Down the Street, a pair of tea- and honey-infused Golden Pale Ales, to be released in 16oz cans in each city this September. Last month, Dock Street hosted the Down the Road brewery crew for drinks, brunch, sightseeing, a visit to Eastern State Penitentiary, eating and more eating, followed by a brew day on Monday morning. Later in August, we trekked up to Boston for a game at Fenway, lots more eating and drinking, and a day of brewing. (Scroll down for some pics from both trips.)

Down the Street: Our Collaboration with Down the Road Brewery from Boston, MA

Dock Street beer isn't available in Boston. Down the Road beer isn't available in Philly. But, when we send brewers to each other's spots to collaborate on a beer and drop it on the same day in each city? Problem solved, proving when beer is involved, Philly + Boston can put their age old rivalries behind them, pop some brewers in a car, and go collaborate on something yummy.

Dock Street Cannery + Tasting Lounge Summer Cocktail Menu Is Here

We don't just make drinks that are really super pretty and totally 'grammable. Our new Summer Cocktail menu is easily the tastiest in town, and this is a pretty tasty town.

Expect to find lots of citrus, summer berries and house-made cordials on the menu, plus some tight accessories, both organic (banana leaves, edible flowers) and manmade (Brad the lifeguard, what's good). Many of the cocktails, like the Continental Cooler and the Supernova Radler, are topped off with our beer, some of which is fermented a few feet from the bar. Fresh. To. Death.
